We specialize in providing comprehensive health care from delivering babies to caring for the elderly.

The Family Medical Center takes same-day appointments for people with urgent care needs. We only schedule same day appointments on the day of the visit.  These visits are limited to urgent illness, and fill up quickly.

One of our doctors covers emergencies every day, and we have a physician assistant or physician to see same-day appointments each day.

We understand what it is like to run low on your prescriptions. So we try our best to accommodate your needs.
But, because all of our doctors are not in the office everyday, it may take a day or two for a prescription to be processed through our office.

You can call your pharmacy first, because most times, your pharmacy can refill your medicine for you without a doctor's order.

We do require 48 hour notice for narcotic refills.

A Family Doctor offers not just a temporary relationship with you and your family, but the support is ongoing throughout your lifetime. Your care should never be fragmented, therefore, we believe that Family Medicine is a better way to provide comprehensive health care.

The Family Medical Center (FMC) of Johnson County is JCHCs out patient medical clinic. We are dedicated to providing the medical care that our county needs and deserves.

The FMC is a Family Centered health facility.   Family Medicine is a style of medical care that takes into account the overall well being of the patient.  It is a holistic style of medical care.

Our medical staff deliver babies, care for children, do well women medicine and geriatric medicine.  They care for patients in our hospital and for those who come to the emergency room.  JCHC is poised to care for the whole community.  We feel that it is important that we take into consideration each person's unique needs and history when treating them.

Caring for the whole person means that we take a little more time, but we think that this is the best way to care for people.

Our medical staff is composed of Family Physicians, a General Surgeon, 2 CRNA’s and Physician Assistants.

We know that it is important to have specialists too for some things.  The FMC welcomes visiting specialties on a routine basis in order to help our county residents avoid long drives.  Visiting specialists include Cardiology, Orthopedic, Nephrology, Urology, Radiology and Vascular care.

In our clinic, appointments are normally made in advance. This gives you the opportunity to see the doctor of your choice, and reduces waiting time. When you call for an appointment, you will be asked several questions concerning your medical needs. This helps us schedule adequate time for your visit, and helps the doctor have enough time to address your concerns.
