2018 Health Fair Comes to Johnson County
“Each new year, many of us wish for peace, prosperity, and especially good health. Fortunately, we often can realize our wish for good health, because for all the advances in medical science, the road to good health starts with us.”
– Senator John Barrasso, M.D.
As we age, health screening tests become more important for all of us. Screening tests facilitate early detection of the most common and treatable diseases, such as diabetes, cancer, and heart disease—conditions that may appear in your middle or later years.
Johnson County Healthcare Center has paired up with the Health Fairs of Wyoming to provide a screening opportunity for our residents. The Wyoming Health Fairs is a non-profit organization that provides low cost wellness screening to communities throughout Wyoming.
Health care costs continue to rise, but by serving a large population with lab tests, they are able to keep costs low. The Wyoming Health Fairs served over 51,000 Wyoming residents last year. By taking advantage of our statewide services, people save an average of $300-$600 on common lab tests.
The health fair sees almost 1000 people each year in Johnson County.
In 2018, the Health Fair will be held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds on March 17 from 9am – noon.
The blood draws for the health fair will be held in Buffalo on February 5 – 9 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds from 7:00am to 10:00am. Most tests require that you don’t eat for 12 hours before.
