JCHC wellness coordinator, Julia Bettinger, organizes and directs programs, people, and activities to achieve the goal of the best mental and physical health possible. A wellness coordinator's scope may be relatively small and involve only the employees of a company or department.
In other cases, her range of influence may cover an entire community, town, or city. In either case, the ability to educate and inspire people to recognize the rewards of good health and work toward achieving those goals is vital to the success of a wellness coordinator.
Julia works both within the walls of JCHC, and outside of our walls to educate and encourage our community to becoming more health conscious. In order to do her job effectively, Julia does extensive research and analysis of our community.
Julia is also the JCHC Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator. Cardiac Rehabilitation (cardiac rehab) is a professionally supervised program that helps people recover from heart attacks, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), procedures such as stenting , angioplasty or heart surgery.
Cardiac rehab programs usually provide education and counselling services to help heart patients increase physical fitness, reduce cardiac symptoms, improve helath and reduce the risk of future heart problems, including heart attack.
