JCHC Emergency Room passes Trauma Review with excellence!

JCHC celebrates a successful State Trauma Review
This past spring, in a lengthy process, the Wyoming Department of Health/Wyoming Trauma program performed a full trauma review at JCHC.
The Department of Health reviewed how well JCHC is able to handle trauma cases.
Because of the successful review, JCHC is now a fully designated Wyoming Trauma Receiving Facility. It is not easy to improve a facility trauma level designation, but JCHC has done just that this year.
“JCHC’s obvious commitment to the development of their trauma program is to be commended,” states Kelli Perrotti, the Wyoming Trauma Program Manager.
The review team looked into our documentation, performed interviews with various trauma program partners, and conducted a site visit. The team met with the CEO, Team Surgeon, the Trauma Medical Director, and the Nurse Manager of the ER. The team also met with many employees and management.
There were many strengths noted in JCHC’s trauma program, stated the formal review documentation.
“JCHC demonstrates leadership that is supportive, has improved over the past years, and obviously committed to the patients, the trauma program and the community.”
The physical plant, documentation and education were all mentioned as being strengths at JCHC.
Congratulations to the JCHC trauma team on your successful survey!
