Kick off your Thanksgiving with a 5K fun run or walk through Buffalo before the parades, football games and feasting begin! Bring a flock of your family and friends to the Crazy Woman Square on Main Street. The event will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. with registration to begin at 7:30 a.m.
Although the annual event is a fundraiser, the focus is to raise awareness for Hospice in Johnson County, according to Amanda Walter, RN, Director of the Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice program.
The 5K course begins at Crazy Woman Square downtown and winds through Buffalo on its 5K course, finally ending back in the square.
Volunteers help put on the event, and with a small registration fee, participants enjoy the race and gain a t-shirt commemorating the event.
