About
Angela Knutson came to JCHC from a level 1 trauma center in Minnesota. Angie worked there for seven years, seeing 15 to 20 patients daily in a busy emergency department.
"I saw a range of health needs from urgent care patients to the critical trauma and heart patients in a 10-hour shift in Minnesota," Angie says. When asked why she and her husband relocated to Northern Wyoming, she said that her husband grew up in Sheridan, and she attended University of Wyoming. When the opportunity presented itself for both of them to get jobs here, it just seemed right.
"When I worked in Minnesota, I was on the receiving end. We received patients who were flown in from small town hospitals, now I am the person working on the other end of that equation.
Angie earned her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan after earning a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wyoming. She worked for seven years in the Emergency Room in St. Paul, Minn., before arriving in Buffalo. Her husband works for the Forest Service and is stationed out of Sheridan.
Angie and her husband, Ian, enjoy hiking, cooking and gardening together. They love to find new recipes and to cook them together. They have one child.
When asked what she loves about Johnson County, she replies , "I love the blue Wyoming sky in the winter!
