About Jim Brown is deeply passionate about diabetes education and the meaningful difference it can make in patients’ lives. As a former nurse with the Veterans Administration and Indian Health Services, he witnessed firsthand the profound impact diabetes can have on individuals and families. Those experiences strengthened his commitment to prevention, education, and compassionate support for those managing chronic disease.
In 2024, James became a board-certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), further dedicating his career to helping patients gain the knowledge and confidence they need to live healthier lives. While he will always be a nurse at heart, diabetes education has become his life’s calling.
James feels grateful to serve such a wonderful community and considers it a true blessing to call Buffalo home. Working alongside a team that feels more like family than colleagues is something he does not take for granted. Although he and his family will always return to Montana to hunt and fish, Johnson County is home — and they wouldn’t change a thing.
