About Jodi Verplancke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with deep roots in Wyoming and a lifelong commitment to serving her community. A proud graduate of the University of Wyoming, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 1995 and later completed her Master of Social Work at Walla Walla College in 2004. Having called Wyoming home since 1978, she grew up in Buffalo and remains deeply connected to the people and place that shaped her.
Throughout her career, she has served individuals and families in a variety of settings, including home health, the school system, and community mental health. After several years away, she returned to Buffalo in 2002 to continue caring for the community she knows and loves. From 2003 to 2005, she served as the Unit Director for the Boys and Girls Club when it first opened in Buffalo, helping establish programming and meaningful support for local youth. In 2006, she resumed her work in community mental health and continued in that role until joining Johnson County Healthcare Center in 2013, where she remains dedicated to supporting patients and families with compassion and expertise.
She is married and the proud mother of two adult children. Outside of her professional role, she and her husband spend as much time outdoors as possible—hiking and fishing with their dogs, hunting, skiing both downhill and cross-country, and traveling to visit their children who live in different states. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and reading.
Deeply connected to both her profession and her community, she brings experience, compassion, and strong Wyoming values to her work each day—delivering care that reflects the heart of Johnson County Healthcare Center: healthcare as it should be.
