Johnson County Healthcare Center’s Emergency Department is a Nationally Recognized Pediatric Receiving Facility, a designation through the State of Wyoming Department of Health. First awarded in 2021, this designation remains active today and reflects our ongoing commitment to high-quality pediatric emergency care. This recognition means our team is specially prepared to assess and treat infants, children, and adolescents in emergency situations—providing families with added peace of mind when their child needs urgent care.

Level III Community Trauma Hospital

Johnson County Healthcare Center is designated and certified as a Level III Community Trauma Hospital, providing comprehensive emergency care for patients with serious and life-threatening injuries. Our Emergency Department team is trained to rapidly assess, stabilize, and treat traumatic injuries, ensuring patients receive timely, coordinated care close to home.

When advanced specialty care is required, our team expertly stabilizes patients and coordinates transfer to higher-level trauma centers, prioritizing safety, communication, and continuity of care throughout the process.

Our emergency providers are certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and our nursing staff maintain certifications in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)—ensuring expert care for both adult and pediatric trauma patients, 24/7.
